This is the last night of your life. We will kill you tomorrow
Late in July of 2022 and it was Eid al-Adha night, we were at home with family members and friends when someone came and told me that there were a number of armed Taliban waiting outside and wanting to see me. I got out of the house and went to them, after greeting I invited them home for a meal. They refused and told me that we should go to meet a tribal elder, I had no choice but to accept. As soon as we boarded Ranger and drove away from home they started to say bad word and call me Wahhabi. I was very scared and I realized that I had been arrested. I thought I was going through the last moments of my life because they had already arrested and killed a number of Salafist followers on charges of collaborating with ISIS. They finally put me in a room, and one of them said it was nice to bring this great Wahhabi, Khwaraj and ISIS here, now it's time to punish him. They tied my hands behind my back, saying I must confess that I was connected and cooperating with ISIS. But I was replying that it is true that I am Salafi but I have nothing to do with ISIS and I do not know anyone from this group. I said I hate ISIS so why would I cooperate with them. They were beating and torturing me with an iron skewer, an electric cable and a Kalashnikov butt, I was screaming and begging but they were not hearing me, and they were torturing me several nights in the same manner until I fainted. Every night during torture I was told this is the last night of your life, we will kill you tomorrow. This kind of threat and torture continued for several nights, I saw death with my own eyes, and I could not express what had happened to me. I was released from the Taliban prison after two months with the help of the local elders and influencers.
